The holidays are fast approaching and I wanted to take this time to tell everyone to slow down and enjoy this wonderful holiday season. We all seem to become so busy that we forget about many of our friends that we don't see as often. I want to wish all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful NEW Year!

Happy Thanksgiving

No one has posted lately so I thought it was time to generate some responce.

We would like to wish all a Thankful and Joyful Thanksgiving.

Take time and do something special for someone that is not expecting your thoughtfulness. Something simple like......well...... I put the tolet seat down all week. But seriously, invite someone over that their family is not around, take a turkey to someone that may not be able to have thier own. It is amazing to the feeling you experience, and the realization of what we all are thankful for.

Hope to see some of you during the Holidays, let us know of any plans during the Christmas Holidays!

Hey Gang...
Hope everyone is doing great and enjoying the beginning of Autumn. Last week, while at the Presidential Innauguration at Emory and Henry, I ran into Mrs. Stringer from Abingdon Elementary and we chatted awhile. She said she would LOVE to see everyone and that IF teachers were invited to any of the get-togethers, she would love to come. {She has not aged at all, just so you know!} Just thought I would let you guys know and that she wishes everyone well. Everything is going good here in and about the Emory/Abingdon area. The weather has been just lovely for the most part. Saudra, if you need her address, let me know. If you did not get Karen (Broyles) Swiney's new them song you need to ask her to send it to you. The only comment I have after I herd the song is that she must have been 'Middle Aged' when we were in High School.

Who thought we would be spread out and communicating via computer 27 years after we graduated? It's so great to see such interest in keeping in touch. I'm sorry I missed the summer get together, it was great to see all the pictures. I hope to see you all soon.

Looking for lost classmates

Hello all!
If any of you have any contact information on our classmates, could you please email with a home address or an email address? I am STILL trying to compile an address listing and would love to gather more people on it. I currently have about 68 of our actual classmates and have another lead on a few more, so hopefully we can get something going. I have even sent out notices to people that attended the 25th Reunion with what addresses we gathered then, but have not heard from hardly any of them. Can't seem to get the Abingdon locals to respond either.

Hey everybody! So glad to see the pictures, and see that so many of you are atleast still around somewhere! Life is good for me-I have 2 grown sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and my first grandchild-a boy,Landon Parker. I have been married for 21 years to a great guy, and I have a really good job. Most of all, I think of all of you at various times in my life, and wonder what ever happened to....... Thanks for starting this blog-it's wonderful to keep in touch. Hey everyone. Just wanted to say hello and thank Tim for putting this together. It is great to read about old friends and think about all of the great times that we had together. I am sorry that I was not able to make the summer gathering. Even though I was not there I really enjoyed the pictures. Thanks to all of those that went for sharing.

Hey everyone, it was great to see the pics of all who attended the recent reunion. I wish I could have attended, perhaps next time. I haven't seen a lot of you for quite some time, but I hope that this message finds you and yours healthy and happy. If you are even wondering, I'll let you know that I'm still the same witty and charming person many of you remember me to be (I may have even honed my abilities further since we last saw each other!). I do have a lot of good memories from AHS, most of them too embarassing for many of you to dare repeat on a public forum such as this...just kidding! (Greg Altizer just breathed a huge sigh of relief!)

Wow, I'm surprised at how many are using this great blog Tim set up. Saundra thanks for sending a "reminder" email with the blog address as I tend to forget to look. It took me a bit of time remembering my username and password, but I made it back. Hopefully the third time I visit will be an easier login! I hope you all can get together over the holidays for a glass of cheer! Take care, all is well in Illinois, Adrainne and I have even seen each other since Abingdon!! For those of you who don't know, I moved to the Chicago area 2 years ago, live 40 minutes from Adrianne and didn't see her until we both landed in Abingdon!! Take care. Angela

First of all thanks Tim for setting this up, it is amazing what technology has brought to us since 1980! I look forward to keeping in touch with the "Class of 80". We had a great time at Tom's house earlier this month. It is amazing how a few friends, a few drinks, and some pictures will stimulate the brain.

I was shocked when I got on here to just check if anything was here and was pleasantly suprised to see that some of you have posted something on here.

Okay, I am wondering if people will be coming to Abingdon over the Christmas holiday and would like to get together somewhere? Just a thought to ponder on, but know that we have several months to plan for this. If anyone is interested.....just post something and we can see what we can get planned.

Hey Jimmy. I am presently telling everyone I know someone who sells drugs. I can "hook them up" if they are interested. So far the questions seem centered around Viagra. ;)

I thought I would give this a try. It is great that we have so many new ways to stay in touch. I hope this will help in creating more attention towards our next reunion. I hope all are well and everyone made it home safely from Tom's a few weeks ago (both home and those traveling).
